Everyone has a story! Thanks for checking out mine!

Formerly a 5th grade teacher, after having my son I opened up shop on Etsy and fell in love with the art of calligraphy, then even more so of invitation design. I absolutely love creating wedding invitations, especially bold patterns, soft beautiful botanicals, and fun hobby-based designs.

My mission in running my shop has changed dramatically in the past few months because of my son's medical issues. Over the past 5 years I have witnessed a child crying out for help, unable to control his body, ending up in countless meltdowns each day. After endless reading and research we have finally (sigh...) found a non-traditional pathway to help him by visiting a DAN! (Defeat Autism Now!) doctor. Because methods that such doctor's use are unconventional (but also proven to help) they are not covered by insurance. Every penny I make on my shop goes to help out these expenses (doctors' visits, supplements, continuous testing, his strict specialized diet, etc.) and help my son experience life in a new light. He is a great kid and deserves every chance possible. So thank you!

As for my work, I love it and I think of him through my designs. When I use bold exciting colors and patterns I think of his bold moves every day, trying his best to break out of his shell of anxiety that haunts him. I think of his beauty and the love of nature that he has within when I'm using my softer vision of design. When I am embedded in ski-themed designs, I think of all the fun that he has in life (bombing down the ski mountain at age 5!) and how much more fun is waiting for him when he can play with others but is just too afraid. Then wallah! My designs are there!

Thanks for taking an interest. It's amazing how many kids are affected by autism, sensory processing disorder, ADHD and other similar issues. Patience, determination, and an unending love for my son are what drive me each day an ultimately bring you the designs you see here!
