As a young girl, I had been bitten by the art bug. I loved getting dirty in paints, pastels, and chalk. Creating was, and is, a major part of my life. However, as I grew up, the societal and peer pressure of being a doctor came ever present to me. The vast majority of my family is in the medical field in some form or another, so my dreams of pursuing art as a career was kicked to the wayside. For a long time, I had pushed my desire to create and design down deep, possibly not coming to light again.

Years passed full of stress and fear of not living up to my family's expectations. I had made it through college, got my B.S. in General Biology, and began the long journey of starting my life in the medical field. Over time, I started to realize that I was the only one who had to live with myself on a daily basis, with the exception of my husband, of course. It slowly dawned on me that I had no passion for the work I was doing, and my desires of long ago began to push back up from the dark recesses of where I had locked them away.

Finally, with the encouragement from my mother and my husband, I decided to go for it and show the world what I could offer. I decided to open my Etsy shop and become a full time artist and designer of stickers, for starters. I hope to learn more and come up with other great, fun products for others to enjoy. I'm so happy in my own skin and alive with the possibilities that I've allowed for myself.
