When I received the yarn, I was worried about the 'itch' factor. But once I swatched and soaked it, it softened considerably. So glad I gave this yarn a chance; I just know it will knit up into something beautiful! Thanks!

Beautiful, loveliness of yarn.
This fiber met ALL my expectations, so much so, that this shop, owned by the lovely Nanette, has now become my go to shop for all yarn Wensleydale.
And the care and effort put into the packaging of such a lovely product is outstanding. Such thought and care.
Highly recommend this yarn.

Silky beyond words! Well people, perfection just upped its game.
In this picture I have gathered all five blades of ANY debri, shown between the bear and the ruler and beside all the glorious shiny soft long Wensleydale from the lovely yew Ravennas fleece! You see, dreams do come true.

Lovely Teeswater worsted with the extra lanolin I always love. Beautifully milled. Yarn has a pearly gleam that’s very beautiful. Quick careful shipping. You won’t regret a yarn purchase; support domestic producers!

I'm a felt artist and this is truly the first fleece I've ever purchased that has very minimal if at all vm. This fleece is exquisite. The color amazing and the curls make my creative heart sing! These folks truly care for the animals and this is a core value in my work. Am ordering again now! Highly recommend this fleece!

Lovely yarns! Restocking my mom's knitting basket, and it was wonderful to have a chance to educate ourselves by trying different fleece/fibers out!
30 Years a Process · Wild Rose Farm
At Wild Rose Farm, situated near Penn Cover on Whidbey Island in Washington, State, my husband Ken and I raise Heritage Breeds of English Longwool sheep - Wensleydale, Engligh Leicester Longwool, and Teeswater. These sheep thrive in our northwest coastal environment producing incredibly strong, beautiful and lustrous wool.
Wild Rose Farm Fibers shop is the culmination and collaboration of much effort and varying skill. My husband and I raise the sheep and manage Wild Rose Farm. My daughter Amahra Leaman is our photographer, website designer and spear-header for getting our wool organized into our online shop.
In 2010, in a rare collaboration with Swans Island Blakets based in Northport, Maine, we have produced from our wool a line of Wild Rose Farm Blankets. These blankets and throws are all-natural and handwoven, designed to last a lifetime or more. They are truly heirlooms that can be passed down through generations. These blankets embody the old idea that the more care that goes into something, the better it will be. Held in these blankets' weave are the seasons and salt tinged air of Whidbey Island.
I have been raising sheep for over 30 years. They are special creatures that produce a very diverse and wonderful product. I am thankful for all of the hard work that my husband and I share on the farm, and to Swans Island for seeing the beauty in our wool and working with us to produce such beautiful handwoven blankets. To my daughter Amahra for her keen eye and diligence of documenting our product so tastefully, and to Superior Fibers in Edmonds, Washington, a local operation who processes my wool into yarn and roving allowing me bring the results of this process to you.
