Just beautiful! Can't wait to make my next purchase! :)

This anklet was a gift to commemorate a fabulous Maine vacation. The recipient cried happy tears and was so excited! She agreed that Barb has "an eye" for creating beautiful pieces. The variety of colors is eye-catching and yet they go so well together, so the anklet colors "flow". It can be worn with anything so it's nice that it is limitless in that respect as well. Barb made me look good, as a "gift giver" - she had everything packaged and ready to give, and included a bag and tissue paper. So thoughtful! She also included 2 special items for us that she found during her sea glass adventures, and they are being displayed by both of us as another memory of Maine and of Barb herself. Thank you again!

I can't even begin to say how THRILLED I am with my anklet!!! The variety of colors is so beautiful and the fit is perfect. Working with Barb was a pleasure - she was wonderful! I will be able to remember our recent trip to Maine every time I look at my anklet. The craftsmanship is wonderful and I look forward to more pieces from this shop - you can never have too much jewelry! :-)
Captivated by the sea and all that it offers!
I have been collecting sea glass for many, many years. At first with my four small children, and then alone as they grew up and left my little nest.
I am passionate about our Maine coast, with it's rugged shoreline and moody sea.
I've collected my sea glass and beach stones from Bar Harbor to Hawaii. Each piece is lovely to me...each piece has a story.
I am a firm believer of using only naturally wave tossed glass. I would never use artificially tumbled glass, even though these things also have their place in the craft world, they don't belong in my jewelry.
When I need sea glass from outside of my own collecting, I use glass that family and friends have brought to me from their own travels or from a certain few and trusted sellers who are as committed to natural glass as I am.
I am a one woman shop, learning as I go, loving my craft more and more. My dream would be to someday have my own little "brick and mortar" shop.
Right now, I work at my table almost every evening after work, and sometimes, when the creative juices are really flowing, well into the wee hours of the morning. I can lose track of time very easily when working on my creations!
The name Wild Wave Designs came to be when I was collecting sea glass in my favorite spot on the coast of Maine. It was low tide, the waves were calm and I foolishly turned my back on the ocean. Within moments a crazy, wild wave hit me very hard, knocking me down, dragged me under, away from the shore, and out to sea. Since I was alone, as I usually am when collecting, my only chance was to try to grab for some of the very sharp rocks jutting out from under the water. Luckily, I was able to find one to hold onto and slowly made my way back to shore.
I felt like one of those battered pieces of sea glass I so lovingly collect! I was bloodied and shaken, my new sunglasses were claimed by that wave, and my cell phone ruined, but Wild Wave Designs was born!
I still love "my ocean". I have a much greater respect for it and it is my sanctuary....my own little piece of heaven.

I work full time as a medical professional, but my love is the sea and all that it gives us. Evenings are spent designing and creating my jewelry. My dream is to someday have my own "brick and mortar" shop.
I am a "one person" shop, and thrilled to be sharing my passion of the sea and all it's glorious treaures with others! I am lucky to live in Maine and have access to it's rocky coast and it's "wild waves" that on occassion will bring many beautiful pieces of glass and unusual stones to shore. I've scoured the Maine shoreline from Bar Harbor to York, at first with my children and then as an adult, just building on my collection, all the while soaking up the beauty that we have here in Maine.
I've also traveled to other beaches as far away as Hawaii, whose shoreline is so very different from ours.
I sell only REAL sea glass, never mechanically altered in any way. Many pieces were handpicked by me on the various beaches I've been to. Others are from my own personal collection, (which was getting a little too big), and comes from all over the world, but they too are genuine surf tumbled sea glass.
I make jewelry out of many of my pieces of sea glass and some out of interesting beach stones. I also make jewelry out of specially meaningful gemstones.
Many Wild Wave Designs gemstone jewelry pieces will also include at least one Clear Crystal Quartz incorporated into the pattern, or will be added as a dangle. Crystal Quartz is known as The Power Stone, The Master Healing Stone, and has the unique attribute of giving more power to each gemstone it is near. It is an amazing addition to any piece and you can be assured that I use only very high quality Quartz Crystals, just as I do for all my gemstones.
I personally make each piece of jewelry I sell. Hopefully you will feel some of the love and care that went into each piece!
I also sell small batches of larger gemstones that have special attributes (the same as my jewelry pieces) which include luck, power, protection, peace, love, strength of will, inner guidance, assisting in connecting to your special angels/loved ones who have passed, and many more, too numerous to list here.
I honestly want to have very happy customers and will do everything I can to satisfy. If there is anything special you have in mind that you don't see listed, please let me know. Chances are I have it and just haven't posted it, or I can try to find/make it for you. Just be aware custom orders will take extra time to fill.
I hope you will feel just a little bit of that magic feeling I get when I am near the ocean, when browsing my shop. : )
Thank you for taking the time to read about Wild Wave Designs!
