Como mãe de quatro filhos lindos, nunca houve escassez de doenças em nossa casa. Se um de nós adoeceu, se espalhou como fogo. De volta à escola, mudança de estação... de repente há um surto de nariz escorrendo e febres em todo o quadro. Todos os pequenos aninhados no sofá com bochechas vermelhas, e mamãe correndo por aí com tecidos, gengibre e salgados.
Minha mais velha sofria de infância com infecções crônicas de ouvido, infecções respiratórias e pneumonia. Ele tomava constantemente antibiótico ou esteroide. Estávamos no consultório médico ou no ER semanalmente durante a estação fria. Cirurgia de tubo de ouvido, adenoides removidos, injeções de antibióticos, diga o que tentamos. Me doe ver sofrer assim. Foi assim que essa mãe começou a olhar para uma abordagem alternativa à cura. Com o tempo e através de tentativa e erro começamos a fazer diferentes escolhas em torno da saúde de nossa família.
Foi isso que me levou ao poder de Elderberry, fazendo xaropes artesanais e uma paixão por compartilhar essa magia com os outros.
As a mom to four beautiful children, there has never been a shortage of sickness going around in our household. If one of us got sick, it spread like wildfire. Back to school time, change of season...suddenly there is an outbreak of runny noses and fevers across the board. All the little ones nestled on the couch with red cheeks, and mom running around with tissues, gingerale and saltines.
My oldest suffered from infancy with chronic ear infections, respiratory infections and pneumonia. He was constantly on an antibiotic or steroid. We were at the doctor's office or ER weekly during the cold season. Ear tube surgery, adenoids removed, antibiotic injections, you name it we tried it. It pained me to watch him suffer this way. That is how this momma started looking into an alternative approach to healing. Over time and through trial and error we began making different choices around the health of our family.
That is what led me to the power of Elderberry, making handcrafted syrups and a passion for sharing this magic with others.
