About

I love people, especially babies, dogs, gemstones, wire, metal and leather. I love ART!

My Mom had flair, she was an artist and she loved to paint and sing. She is my inspiration and so I am an artist and a maker. I've been putting rocks in my pocket since I could walk and beading since I was a teenager and I love both.
At the risk of dating myself, I used to make and sell "Love Beads" on Cape Cod in the 70's.
I put crafty things aside when I started creating my family (with brief beady relapses over the years). I raised 5 daughters and one son, we would occasionally have "jewelry making parties" while they were growing up, playing with beads and leather, and though it was always fun for all of us there was no real spark for the girls. Sarah was the exception, she caught the bead bug. She's a design genius with eclectic flair, wire worker, bead junkie and teacher. Check her out at https://www.facebook.com/Gypsyadornment
We had a brick and mortar shop in Brewer Maine for just over 8 years, it was wonderful to serve the community in a creative way with my daughters Jen and Sarah and my sister Laura. We had so much fun with open studio, all types of classes and met so many wonderful beaders. When we closed our "Downeast Sticks'n Stones Bead Shop" we opened this etsy store, Wildwood Bead Company suits me better. I hope you can find what you are looking for, if not, you can always convo me and I'll let you know what is possible. We know there are many bead and jewelry making suppliers to choose from so I thank you in advance for your support.
I wish you Peace and Bead Happy!
Kathleen
