About

Heart Felt Creations

"Marianne Wille may just be a 21st century version of Beatrix Potter, though the medium of choice for this gentle, soft-spoken artist is wool and felt, not ink. After earning a BFA in visual communications from the University of Kansas, Wille worked in the 1980s as a museum exhibit designer and graphic designer with the Field Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. She then took off several years to be a stay-at-home mother before returning to knitting in earnest and opening an online retail site to market the creatures that she develops over time with attention to detail."

Andrea Hoag. "Heart Felt Creations." Lawrence Magazine, Summer 2011

Currently, Wille is photographing the flowers and vegetables from her large urban garden to illustrate her stories for children. Rosie: A Birthday Party is her newest book published in May 2012 by Blurb.com.
