About

Inspiration

I love wool – spinning, dyeing, knitting, wearing it – I’m quite simply a woolly sort of person. I like my wool soft and cuddly although I believe there’s a purpose for every kind of wool and the softest wool is not always the most fun to spin.

Most of my inspiration comes from nature, the sea, the forest, flowers, rocks and more. Even on a rainy day there is always something pretty to be seen if you just look.

I quit often get a bit carried away when the inspiration hits so i always have more wool than I can use myself so please come on in and take some of it off my hands...

Learned to crochet at eight and knit at nine, created my first thread from flax "borrowed" from my grandfather (he was a plumber) at twelve and finally learned to spin properly in Ireland at the age of nineteen. The rest, as they say, is history...
