Announcement    Thanks so much for visiting my little art shop!! I ADORE custom orders and new ideas, so please convo me with inquiries.
I hope you truly enjoy my creations, come back soon and bring friends!

I have been an art teacher for 15 years and get to creatively explore so many mediums and inspirations it is sometime hard to decide which one I adore the most. So here is the place I put my classroom demos, creative musings, little and sometimes big creations.

Currently I am loving.... water soluble oil paints(see my modern mini portraits), and watercolor(it's making a comeback).
XOXO
Cheers, Willow

About the girl with the paintbrush!

Hello!
Thank you for visiting my etsy shop.
This shop is a mixture of my original watercolor and oil paintings, a few prints, as well as my classroom demonstrations from the art classes I instruct in Seattle. It's really a mixture of all of the art I LOVE to create. I hope you enjoy it and as always I adore custom orders and new ideas so please convo me if you want me to paint you something special.

About Willow Heath (the girl with the paintbrush)

Born in the remote Alaskan wilderness Willow Heath spent the early years of her childhood outside of civilization on her parents Yukon homestead. Willow's later childhood was immersed in arts and culture, as she traveled the United States with her artist mother. Willow has a reputation in many Seattle schools as the "storytelling artist", her students enjoy hearing the tales of Willows Alaskan childhood adventures, which she brings to life in her classroom illustrations.

As a visual artist Willow has been exhibiting her paintings for fifteen years and instructing art class throughout the Seattle area for over a decade. Willow's visual art is mostly composed of close-up figurative paintings of the human face, each displaying a keen eye for detail and saturated color.

"Each new painting represents a new inspiration and an exciting new challenge for me to conquer. Creating my art is about joyful experimentation with color and light."

Willow lives in Seattle Washington with her husband and son. She is currently working on illustrating and writing her childhood tales, and teaching illustration and painting courses in various Seattle schools. If Willow isn't painting in a park, or writing in a coffee shop, you can find her most days teaching art classes at Fremont Community School and Gage Academy of Art.

Willow Heath is a teaching artist who loves teaching art as much as she loves creating it, and views her teaching as an essential learning tool in her artistic process. As a visual artist I craft my paintings from my personal inspirations, and as a teacher I guide my students through the building blocks to create their own inspirations. "I feel that it is very important to enjoy the process of art as much as the outcome. With this in mind I design curriculums that reflect both the inspirational and academic qualities within the creative process. Through teaching I develop a greater understanding of my own creative process and am able to provide my students with a solid foundation to express their artistic visions."
