Announcement   Stoneware pottery, garden art and sculpture all made by me in my studio. I throw on an electric wheel and fire in an electric kiln to cone 6. All glazes are lead free, dinnerware, dishwasher and microwave safe. I offer a variety of work, wheel thrown or hand built, from functional to purely decorative. I make things that make me happy! Please see my profile http://www.etsy.com/people/willowtreepottery for more information about my art and techniques.

Most of my sections are specific but a few have multiple kinds of items. Ex: serving bowl tray etc has all kinds of serving choices; bowls, trays, sushi sets to name a few. Everything Else, well, that pretty much describes it from reed diffusers, candle holders and dog bowls.

Looking for a gift for someone special? I can wrap and include a note and ship straight to the lucky person. Just add details in message to seller. Of course, gifts for yourself are nice, too.

I've been selling pottery and clay art locally for over 20 years and now, I love being on Etsy!

About

Pottery, garden art and more

I love to play in the clay. I've been playing in the clay for over 20 years and never get tired of it. From the very first time I touched clay, it felt like something I was meant to do.

I began throwing as a form of physical and emotional therapy recovering from a car accident. Exercises helped heal my body and clay helped heal my soul. I mark all my work with a willow tree as a memorial to the unborn son I lost in the same car accident.

I started out giving and selling pieces to friends and family, ventured into the craft show world, opened my own gallery and studio and ultimately, started my Etsy shop in 2010.

I love to garden, cook, paint, decorate and these things inspire much of my work. I take inspiration from nature, as well, and the results are what you see in my shop. Pottery for the home, garden art for outside and paintings, acrylic or tile.

My studio is a little house that sits on our "farm". We have 1 horse(an Appoloosa), dogs(dobermans), blueberry bushes and grape vines.

When you visit my shop, I hope it feels like you are coming to my gallery. I greet each customer and tell them about my work. I'll tell you a little bit about how each piece was made, what it can be used for and offer suggestions for pieces that would look fabulous together. My pottery and all my work are like my children. I love them and I'm very happy to see them find their place in the world with someone to love.
