6 Sales On Etsy since 2012

Announcement   Welcome to Winegar Pottery! We're Jim & Linda and we hope you'll find what you're yearning for…be it a mug, bowl, platter, wine set, vase or unique storage jar. Our hand-thrown stoneware pottery is created with much love and attention to detail.

Each piece is individually hand-formed by one of us. Our work ranges from utilitarian serving pieces, pitchers, vases, goblets, beer mugs and whiskey sets to more decorative objects such as one-of-a-kind carved and embossed vessels with precious and semi-precious stones as adornments. Much of our current work includes the addition of hand-formed leaves and acorns, reflective of the beautiful rural setting of our home and studio in southwestern Pennsylvania. The majority of our work is created on the potter's wheel and reduction fired to 2300 degrees F. in a gas kiln, which we built. This reduction firing gives the clay its warm and toasty appearance.

We formulate our own glazes and love the unique effects that are created by the layering of glazes. We've developed a distinctive signature glaze pattern which is particularly striking on the interior of the bowls and large platters. We take great pride in the overall craftsmanship of our pottery, from start to finish. The functional ware is microwave
and dishwasher safe.

Since you're already shopping on Etsy, we hope that you share our belief that handmade items possess a spirit of their own and enrich our lives in ways that mass-produced items cannot.

Refunds and Exchanges
We want all of our customers to be happy with their purchases. Since each piece of our pottery is individually handmade and fired in a gas kiln, variations in glazes are to be expected. We hope that you understand and appreciate this uniqueness. If you are not completely satisfied with an item, once you have it in your hands, you may return it for a full refund (minus shipping costs), within 7 days of receipt. After the pottery is returned intact, we will issue the refund. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility. Please be sure to repack the item(s) as carefully as they were shipped to you. Refunds can only be given for items returned in the same condition as they were shipped.

If an item happens to arrive damaged or broken, please contact us immediately. We will need proof of the item's condition upon arrival, in order to file an insurance claim. Please keep the box and contents together for inspection by UPS. If your damaged item was shipped via USPS, they require you to handle the claim. We can remake a piece, but it will not be exactly the same because all of our pieces are created individually by hand. Please feel free to contact us with any questions about our work.
