Win's lights are so unusual and lovely. Although they can be used in a variety of circumstances and places requiring soft lighting, I think they're the perfect baby gift. Keep that baby calm and sleepy during bedtime rituals or middle-of-the-night feedings!

Can't say enough about these beautiful mystical lanterns! One of the most wonderful gifts I've ever had the privilege of giving. Everyone should have one of these at home!

SO VERY COOL!!! Absolutely love it. A completely unique lamp that gives a beautiful, soothing light. Ships super fast and even the packaging itself is a work of art (and totally sustainable!) Ordered another one for a friend's birthday.

Even more lovely in person. Beautifully crafted, cool, and elegant. The perfect lamp for chill out time listening to music at the end of a long day. Would be nice in a small nook, hallway, mantle, or mood-lighting in bathroom for an elegant soiree or long soak. Bonus, no cord!
The long road to becoming a lamp maker!
I had already done many things before I started to make kites... I had been a bagel baker, worked at a fish hatchery, taught sailing, worked for the forest service in Alaska... but when I discovered kitemaking I knew I had found a home. A book entitled "The Art of the Japanese Kite" became my touchstone; a guide to an honorable livelihood making simple, beautiful objects that bring joy to people of all ages. In the book I learned that some kitemakers made paper lanterns during the winter months, and soon I began making paper lampshades while snow was on the ground in my Vermont town. Those shades have evolved into these lanterns that share inspiration between those Japanese craftspeople and another hero of mine, Buckminster Fuller, the inventor of the geodesic dome. I'm happy to share my designs with you and hope you like their ancient-yet-modern aesthetic.
Chief cook and bottle-washer. Husband, father, and usually busy making lamps and wall pieces that bring contemporary design to your home for a reasonable cost. I live in Ripton, in the beautiful Green Mountain National Forest of Vermont.
