A little bit about me . . . Though I now live in Bloomsburg, PA, I was born and raised in Emmaus, raised both of my daughters in Center Valley, and have lived in the Lehigh Valley area of PA most of my life. I will always consider it "home". But, my husband and our dog are in Bloom . . . . so here I am.

As I'm sure is the case with many, I was introduced to crafting as a Girl Scout. I can still remember presenting my mother with the ugliest necklace to ever exist, having been created from a cork, a bunch of sequins, and a piece of ribbon. Then there was my never-ending hit parade of sad little popsicle stick bowls -- suitable only for holding more popsicle sticks to be used in making the next bowl. And, who can forget all those potholders I made using those hideous stretch jersey "rubberband" things. I finally stopped making those when my Dad had enough to re-shingle the roof.

Many years later, I began "crafting" again, having taught myself how to make my "pinecone ornaments" all of which were given away to family and friends (silly me). After moving to Bloomsburg, I began participating in craft shows with my daughters, selling a variety of crafts and several years later, I found Etsy.

I have recently retired from my "real job" giving me a lot more time to make "stuff". My daughters aren't able to accompany me to craft shows anymore as they are busy with their own families, jobs, and especially our 3 grandchildren, so my husband, Tony, has stepped in. I absolutely love having him along (he does all the loading and lugging containers in and out of venues) and he makes a gallant effort to help me set up my display. However, in addition to displaying things facing the wrong way or in several cases - upside down, he usually manages to destroy several items at every show. (He calls it "random inventory reduction".)

PayPal payments not received within 24 hours will result in re-listing of item(s), unless other arrangements have been made.


I also accept payments using Direct Checkout where you're able to use your MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express card without going through PayPal.


Please note that the payment of any customs fees, duties, VAT, and other taxes levied by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the buyer. You may cancel an order for non-personalized items anytime BEFORE they have shipped. Once I have shipped your order, cancellation is not an option. You may cancel an order for personalized items as long as I have not begun work on your order. Keep in mind that I ship non-personalized orders fairly quickly and I begin work on personalized items as soon as possible after receiving the order . . . .



When purchasing more than one item, your shipping/handling fee will be determined using the highest initial s/h fee plus the subsequent "when shipped with another item" fee for the remaining items. (IE: If you purchase two items with the following shipping fees: Item # 1: $4.95 if shipped alone, $.50 if shipped with another item AND Item #2: $2.50 if shipped alone, $.50 if shipped with another item. Your total s/h fee for this purchase will be $5.45.)

US Shipments: All items are shipped via First Class or Priority Mail. You will receive a shipping notification at the time of shipping which will include your tracking number. If you need your item quickly, please let me know and we'll explore alternative methods of shipping (please note that shipping options other than First Class or Priority will require an additional shipping charge).

Non US Shipments: All items are shipped via First Class International Mail. You will receive a shipping notification at the time of shipping (tracking is not available in most countries). Delivery is normally one to two weeks, but may take as long six to eight weeks. Delays in customs may extend delivery time even further. Please allow ample time for your order to arrive.


Customs, duties and other fees assessed by the destination country for an item CANNOT be paid by me to the United States Postal Service when the item is mailed. The recipient of the shipment is the ONLY one who can pay the customs fees.

All items entering a foreign country are subject to customs inspection and assessment of duties, taxes, and fees in accordance with that country's national laws. Customs duties and taxes are assessed, generally, if the item sent is dutiable and if the value of the item is above the threshold set by the country's laws. Each country assesses customs, duties, and taxes. Check the Worlds Customs Organization website for general information, or visit the website of your country's customs service.

It is important to understand that, if duties and taxes are assessed on an item mailed via the Postal Service, they are always collected from the recipient. The shipping/handling fee you've paid covers the expense of delivery only. It does not cover charges assessed by customs in the destination country nor do I have the authority or means to collect and pay your taxes for you.

If you choose to "refuse" the shipment to avoid paying these fees, the package will be returned to me. After receiving the "refused" package, I will refund your purchase price less the original shipping/handling charge. NOTE: This only applies to NON-PERSONALIZED items! No refunds are available for "refused" personalized items. Please keep in mind that, depending on the method by which the package is returned to me, it could take up to 8 weeks (or longer) for it to be received by me.

To avoid having to refuse a package, please research your country's regulations on importing merchandise and remember that any customs, duties, VAT, etc. are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Please be clear and specific in your instructions. Double check the spelling of names and accuracy of dates as your item/s will be created per the information you've provided. Be sure to provide all necessary details to avoid any delay in the creation of your personalized item. If I have any questions about your order, I will "convo" you through Etsy. (Again, please be very careful with the spelling of the names. I will not question you on an unusual spelling since there are so many possible variations on the spelling of any name.) Should I need to contact you with a question, please note that my "production time" will not commence until I have answers to any questions I may have about your order.

Winterberry Originals reserves the right to use photos of your personalized items in future sales campaigns and Etsy listings as samples of my workmanship and available styles.


Information I Collect

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom or personalized order, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

- As needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;

- If necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

- Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.

- Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

Etsy also stores your information and advise that the user send a separate request to Etsy and Etsy can undertake its responsibilities as an independent data controller to respond to the user’s deletion request. As of May, 2018, Etsy generally stores user data in the US. Users outside of North and South America (including the EU) have an agreement with Etsy Ireland UC, and the transfer of their data from Etsy Ireland UC to Etsy Inc. in the US is legitimized via intra-company agreements in accordance with EU law.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

- Access: You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.

Frequently asked questions

When shipping to country outside of the United States, is VAT included in your selling price?

No. We are not registered nor authorized to collect VAT. You will be responsible for any associated VAT and handling charges that are levied by your government or postal service with one exception: digital file purchases. Please also be aware that I cannot mark your shipment as a "gift" in an effort for you to avoid these fees. This is illegal and carries significant punishments and fines.

Can you include a message from me in the shipment?

Absolutely! If you are shipping directly to your gift recipient, first be sure to change the shipping address to their address. In the "notes to seller" area, let me know that this is a gift so I do not include any business cards, etc. This is also the place to include the text of your message to the recipient.

What do I do if I receive a damaged or incorrect item?

1. If your item is damaged when received, immediately take pictures of both the item and the box it was shipped in. Save the box and item. DO NOT throw anything away. This is required by USPS. Contact me and include the pictures in your convo.

2. If you've received the wrong item or if the personalization you ordered is incorrect, immediately take a picture of the item/s. Contact me and include the pictures in your convo.

Any last minute advice before I order?

PLEASE be sure your shipping address is current! I will ship to the address you provide. Shipping to an incorrect address will cause delays in receiving your item. Items returned to Winterberry Originals as not deliverable will incur additional shipping charges to send back to you.

AND, please check your email or Etsy convos. It's the ONLY way I have to advise you of an issue with your order. If an order is returned to me marked "undeliverable" and you do not respond to my emails or convos, I will have no choice but to hold your order for a period of time after which I will dispose of it.
