Note from shop owner I'm closing my shop while traveling for my dissertation research fieldwork. I'm planning to re-launch WiredWaves in July 2022, with more pieces available!

Because of Etsy's increased fees and unethical treatment of artists and sellers, I am looking in to transitioning my shop to another platform. Check back in July for updates!

I'm marine scientist and artist.

I love the outdoors, especially the ocean. I'm a marine social scientist, and an artist in my free time. My work is inspired by nature. I use sea glass and shells, stones, wire, and beads in my wire wrapped jewelry and accessories. Every piece is totally unique, and I do not plan the designs until I start working with the main piece and feel out the shape of the shell, stone, or glass. I find most of the sea glass, shells, and stones while walking along beaches where I have lived and workedn- mostly in Oregon, California, and North Carolina. I make sure that everything I collect is done so sustaiably and legally. I source other materials from small local businesses, and I repurpose or upcycle materials as frequently as possible. To minimize waste, I do not use any plastic packaging.
