Goat’s milk is naturally high in vitamins and minerals: Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, Protein, Zinc, Calcium, Vitamins A, B-6, B-12, C, D, E. Each of our bars of soap offer more than one full ounce of farm raised goat milk. On our farmstead, waste is a resource, so we transform leftover bits (of soap) into laundry soap. Nourish your skin with hand crafted artisanal goat milk soaps, protect sensitive skin from harmful detergents with goat milk laundry soap (diaper tested, mom approved!), or try our increasingly popular aluminum free deodorants - it's all natural and it works! Check out our reviews!
Celebrate your health with natural alternatives that are locally and conscientiously made. Laura is a clinical Nutritionist and Functional Herbalist. What we don't grow or wild craft is sourced responsibly. All remedies in our herbal apothecary are formulated in house to assist your body in natural resistance to allergies, cold and flu, anxiety, and sleep to name a few. Topical Salves, Herbal Tea Blends, Elderberry Syrup, and Castor Oil packs are also available.
Wish We Had Acres began raising dairy goats in the desert southwest in 2009. We loaded everything but the chicken coop into a truck-bed trailer and headed East a few years later to set up shop on one of the last standing farms within the Steele Creek area of Charlotte. We sure do we miss that old 1950s pole barn! We now call home to a small mountain village in the blue ridge mountains of Virginia. Our farm name "Wish We Had Acres" was chosen as a mantra, to give energy to our dreams at every warm greeting. What is your wish?

5 out of 5 starsWith the continued use of this soap, “demigod” might be too strong a word, but I can definitely see it from my porch. Buying process and shipping were seamless as always. Thank you, WWHA.

About WishWeHadAcres
Laura lives on her urban homestead with her family of goats, turning grass into soap & weeds into remedies.
Inspired by family with sensitive skin… our soap was born. Goat’s milk is naturally high in vitamins and minerals: Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, Protein, Zinc, Calcium, Vitamins A, B-6, C, D, E, B-12. Each bar offers more than one full ounce of our farm raised goat milk. On our farm, waste is a resource, so we transform leftover bits (of soap) into laundry soap. We grow many of our own herbs and turn them into medicine for your well-being. Caring about what’s put in and on the body and connecting to our environment through food & medicine.
We offer farm tours, goat yoga and a variety of farmstead classes from raising dairy goats to building your apothecary. Join our newsletter or follow us to stay informed of tours and other farm classes. The farm gardens are largely medicinal and pollinator plants, we also love to grow our own food. Native to Virginia, Laura is thrilled to return East and recognize seemingly foreign flora after 5+ years in the desert southwest.
Laura is a Functional Herbalist and full time student of Clinical Nutrition. She offers personalized nutrition consultation with botanical support through her online Wellness Clinic in the Grandin Village of Roanoke, VA in the heart of the Appalachian mountains. Laura hosts classes and workshops in the greater New River Valley area on a variety of natural approaches to wellness from homestead arts to wildcrafting.
