Wishsong Creations is a shop full of fun whimsical items full of colour and cuteness! Its beginnings started out quite humbly when I decided to take my whimsical children's paintings and illustrations ( found in my other Etsy store: Wishsong Design) and use them to create fun and pretty items such as brooches and art pendant necklaces. With a taste for jewellery making I branched out into making funky wood earring studs, of which I tended to keep to wear myself rather than actually putting them into my store to be sold!

I am a lover of all things creative and I am always inspired to try out new forms of art and craft. This is where my love of sewing toys began! My first toy took me days to complete I was so nervous of messing it up! But now you can't stop me picking up that needle and thread! Most of my toys are completely handsewn by me, all the felt toys and my ever popular series of colourful and fluffy yeti's, which take me a few days to complete each one. I do use the sewing machine now for my art dolls that I create, in combination with handsewing the details and embellishments and hand painting the faces. I also dabble in polymer clay sculpture creating realistic botanical mushroom shadowboxes, which have not made it into my Etsy store due to their delicate nature but can be seen on my Facebook page.

I get a lot of requests for custom orders but I currently do not take any of these, my busy schedule prevents me from doing so and I am also an artist who loves to create things when the mood strikes, selling my items as I make them. This allows me to keep my creativity and passion alive and gives me time to create without the pressure and time restraints that often accompany custom work. I do often have Special Edition or OOAK items and so its always best to grab something you like when you see it as it may not be made again!
