5 out of 5 starsWhat a wonderful purchase! This set was so well packaged, and came with clear youtube instructions. Even more, it was so great to know the source of the wool was straight from the seller's own alpaca farm. She was helpful and warm and very communicative. I am so glad I shopped around for a beginner felting kit. Fabulous shop! Couldn't be happier.

Care instructions
Alpaca Hats: You won't need to wash it too frequently, but when you do, please use lukewarm water and mild soap or shampoo. Soak and try not to agitate. Rinse in clean lukewarm water. Squeeze the water out gently. Roll in a dry towel to get rid of excess water. Shape and dry flat. When you need to store your hat, it's best to keep a cedar ball in the bin to keep wool-eating moths away.
Kits: Please be careful as felting needles are very sharp. Keep them in the plastic case away from curious little kiddos and animals.
Alpaca Fiber (raw or washed fleeces): You can wash them gently in mild soap. The key is to not agitate them or they will start to felt. It's best to keep a cedar ball in the bin to keep wool-eating moths away.
Do you raise your alpacas naturally?
Yes! We do our best to raise them as naturally as we can. We do not spray our pastures with chemicals. We also follow the best practices in herd management to keep our animals very healthy. We do not do any routine deworming with potent drugs. If we suspect an animal is challenged, we will test the individual first. Alpacas are not as prone to internal parasites with good management as they have community poop piles. They also do not get lice and other external parasites when raised with plenty of space. I can't say they are "organically" raised as this requires expensive certifications. They are happy stress-free pasture grazing social Suri alpacas!
