Sadly, I had a similar experience with this as I did with Holy Ground. Burning it in the room with me (a pretty small room), I couldn't even smell it. I let it burn for quite a while but never really even noticed it. After leaving the room for a few minutes, I came back and could finally actually smell that I DID have a scented candle burning. The scent is incredibly subtle, though it is not unpleasant. It's a little disheartening because what's the point if I have to leave and come back just to enjoy it? My sense of smell is quite sensitive, but for whatever reason, these candles seem so subtle that I have difficulty noticing them if I'm in the room while they are burning. Again, the scent is a pleasant one, but I'm not sure it's anything like I expected. A little floral but not really musky or woody. Alas...

About

I make candles for people who love candles as much as I do.

I opened the Witch City Wick's Etsy shop back in 2011. It seemed like a logical place to start selling the end result of my new-found passion: making candles. It didn't take long for me to realize that the candle packaging was almost as important as the scent of the candle. I strive to merge fragrances with very graphical, artistic labels so that my candle collections compliment a person's home decor, rather than blending anonymously into it.

A lot of my inspiration comes from my own experiences and style. I've never been a conventional person with conventional tastes. Art, music, certain sub-cultures and especially living in Salem has put me on a path to where I am today. And I think my candle themes & packaging definitely reflect that.

I am a one person business owner, responsible for making the product, designing the packaging, marketing, selling, packing and shipping out every order. I do not currently have a brick and mortar shop (hope to in the near future), but happily set up at many craft shows and open markets in the New England area. And in October, you'll find us meeting and greeting many locals and tourists on the busy streets of Salem, MA!

Witch City Wicks is very active on social media, you can find us on Facebook (facebook.com/WitchCityWIcks), Twitter (@WitchCityWicks) and follow daily photo posts on Instagram (instagram.com/witchcitywicks).
