Transitioning to Metal Smithing - A new path for Wits End Studios!

Welcome to my shop. I have been designing and making jewelry for over a decade. For most that time, I focused on beading and wire work pieces. I started out making jewelry and other items for myself or as gifts for friends and family. Then a few years ago I launched this shop.

Recently, I began to study metalsmithing - something I've always dreamed of doing. I take classes when I can, but I am also self taught. Now I mostly work in sterling silver, but I also use brass, copper, and other metals . I love working with the metal, and letting it tell me what it wants to do. In addition, I've begun incorporating found objects and vintage jewelry components as well, and look forward to adding new pieces to the shop as I finish them.

I originally named my shop Wits End as a humorous nod to the fact that designing and making jewelry kept me sane during a tough period in my life. It continues to be not only a creative outlet, but a form of meditation as well. When I'm "in the zone", any troubles are pushed from my mind, at least for a while.

I am excited to be able to share my creations with the world. Just thinking about one of my pieces out there somewhere making someone happy, making someone feel good - There is just no better feeling!

Thank you so much for visiting! Please contact me if you have any questions or comments.
