Oshkosh, Wis. based quilter, Missy, has been quilting for 20+ years. Following in her late grandmothers’ footsteps who taught her the basics of cutting fabric, sewing a ¼” seam, making the quilt sandwich and the art and beauty of hand quilting. Her primary focus is quilts and throw blankets made with new yardage or even repurposed materials (i.e., jeans, flannel shirts and t-shirts). She also finds herself dabbling in table clothes, table runners, and among other fun fabric creations in-between. When not immersed in fabric and sewing; she can be found hunting for that next vintage sewing machine to add to her collection (13 and counting), attending car shows with her 1967 Cadillac hearse, reading, listening to music and cooking.
