The customers feedback brought me from a tinkerer to manufacturer

It all started with a pure need. I hate cable messes on the table and so i started searching for docking stations for smartphones with Micro-USB connectors. There wasn't anything suitable. Either it was made of plastic or didn't fit to protectice cases.
Finally I bought a plastic station and went to my tinkering cellar and moved the electronics to a wooden shell. The feedback at work was enthusiastic: "I want the same for my iPhonem, HTC, KG, Samsung ..."
Beeing an engineer I took the challenge to design a docking station which is adaptable to various smartphone models with and without protective cases. The first prototypes were shaky figures made of screws and small wood plates, but the final Lambda-Design with the clipped connector and moveable back was soon found.
The concept and user-experience of the Lamdba docking station bases on natural materials. But for the screws all parts are made of wood. Also the for packaging and shipment all plastic materials are omitted wherever possible.
Since starting, I sold over 100 docking stations to customers around the world. Each piece is still produced from myself in my cellar. But the feedback is great and pushes me further. Nevertheless it is still a sort compensation for my nine-to-five which has nothing to do with handcraft work.
