If you wander into our workshop on any given afternoon, you’ll likely find the air smelling of fresh-cut timber and rich oils, with a classic Geordie drizzle tapping on the windows outside. It’s a bit of a contrast to the sun-soaked Mediterranean aesthetics we spend our days creating, but it’s exactly where we love to be.
We are a small family team based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Our journey with WoodifyDesignUK began in 2021 out of a shared passion for woodworking and a deep obsession with the historic architecture of the Mediterranean and North Africa. On our travels, we found ourselves constantly captivated not by the tourist spots, but by the quiet details—the intricate geometric woodwork of the Alhambra, the stunning symmetry of Moroccan latticework, and the effortless warmth of Mediterranean living spaces.
When we returned home, we wanted to fill our own space with that same texture and history, but we quickly found that high-quality, design-led wooden art and furniture were either mass-produced plastic imitations or locked behind eye-watering gallery price tags.
We knew there had to be a better way. With a background in craftsmanship and an eye for digital fabrication, we set out to bridge the gap. We wanted to see if we could create premium, deeply detailed geometric art and live-edge accent furniture that remained fair, transparent, and affordable for everyday families who appreciate good design.
Every member of our small family plays a part—whether it's selecting the perfect timber grain, programming intricate CNC paths, hand-pouring crystal-clear epoxy resin, or carefully packing your order so it arrives safely at your doorstep.
