Announcement   We are enjoying the mountains. It is beautiful here in Colorado and we have seen our first snow this week just to our west in the Sangre de Christo range. Our garden is growing well and the song birds are everywhere. I love to sit outdoors under the pinon pines and carve. We feel a little fall in the air now, yeah! Come back often yall !

ABSOLUTELY adorable! Shipped very fast! Every year, I choose the same ornament on the family's Christmas presents. As soon as I saw Uncle Bert's, and with my last name HOLZSCHUH (wooden shoe), I knew this one was the winner this year...and I was not disappointed. Each one, due to it being lovingly hand-carved, is a little different...it's so difficult to choose which one I want to keep for myself, because I want to keep them all!!! You will not regret your decision to buy from this store...I definitely would buy from this shop again.

About

Traveling woodworker drawn into woodcarving

I was first taught woodcarving at a camp in Payson Az. by a professional woodcarver named Rick Wiebe from B.C. I learned how to sharpen my pocket knife and do a basic face on a walking stick, also fan carved birds and twig roosters. Well with a sharp! knife I began to carve a lot and started doing caricatures and Christmas ornaments. We were traveling fulltime then hence the name "Woodworker On Wheels" or WOW which is how I felt after each completed project. I first heard about ETSY while in a laundry in Richmond Va. I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised and encouraged by the sales I got through Etsy. I would carve list to etsy and pack and send sold pieces from wherever we happened to be. So I was encouraged to carve more.
We stopped traveling fulltime over four years ago so I am actually carving more now. We live in the mountains in south Colorado where I also dabble in scroll saw work and wood turning. I also repair RVs when I get the call. BUT I carve every chance I can. Hope you-all enjoy my work.
