Great mallet. Looks good. Good weight and well balanced. Just what we were looking for. We’ve been using it with a mini Froe to split hazel rods for a wattle and daub project we are doing.
The delivery was a little late but not sellers fault.
Customer service was on point. The seller was quick to reply and chased up the late delivery and assured me it was on its way.
Will be ordering another of these mallets for my apprentice.

Amazing product! It looks fab, is the perfect size and VERY stable. I bought this for my son as a special gift and he absolutely LOVES it! The first day he got it he cooked beans for lunch and made s’mores for all the family 😋 Communication with Wil was quick and easy, and Wil was amazing at fulfilling my request for some personalisation. This is going to be used so much in our garden, fantastic!

This was a gift and the recipient was delighted with it! The owl is beautifully made and the seller was very helpful in answering my questions. They even included a little note with a birthday message on it. Excellent product and service, thank you!
Wilderness crafts and products
I am fortunate enough to be able to practice my craft down in the wilds of Wales. I source most of the timber in and around various woodlands. The traditional way woodland is managed is by the process of coppice rotation. This means a constant supply of timber. A good Welsh coppice might contain stands of ash, hazel, birch, willow, rowan, hawthorn, oak, hornbeam, beech and wych elm. I prefer to make furniture the traditional way using mortice and tenon joints and turn products on a viking lathe after using the draw knife on the shave horse. The products I make can't easily be found on the high street. Buying direct means you get more value for your money with no added costs or profit margins added on. Recently some new members have joined the wilderness co-operative and have made their crafts available for all. These crafts have been carefully honed and perfected over time and with every day use, they are authentic, completely functional and unique to the maker. We will endeavour to bring more of our ideas to life in the near future. As always thanks for your support.
