Everything started with wool
When I was a little girl, I used to watch my grandmother knitting mesmerized.
The moment she put aside her knits and left the room I grabbed them and pretended I was knitting. I had no idea how she did those little purls and knits and it had been a mystery for the next years.
That time I had plenty of knits from grandma and some of it I still have!
Several years later thanks to my mother the mystery of little purls and knits was solved and the love for yarn and wool was born. I was ripping the old sweaters and making new ones in my own way.
In the meantime I discovered crochet hook and embroidery. I still have my mother's and grandmother's vintage patterns. I treat them as a precious treasure, especially since my grandma passed away. It was the moment when the whole world stood on its head and I had to find myself there again. Knitting brought relief and soothing, and from that moment on I still have knitting needles or crochet hook in my hand.
My love for natural fibers goes on. Lately I have started working with the cotton rope which brings so many possibilities for knitting projects. They're made at the foot of Beskidy mountains which are my constant inspiration and destination for almost weekly hikes.
