WoolSculptures' Shop Announcement

Needle felted dogs, cats, wildlife, and custom sculptures by artist Janice Cordeiro.

I have been invited to submit art for inclusion in "International Contemporary Masters”, a leading juried annual art publication presenting noteworthy artists from all over the world by the Assistant Curator of World Wide Art Promotion. They distribute to Galleries to promote the artists. Also, My Christmas Elf is to be published in the UK in a craft magazine. The piece has sold.

Buy with confidence! I give you a full year guarantee from date of purchase. That's a bit unprecedented, but I have a great deal of confidence in my work. I have never had a piece returned for repairs or problems of any sort. I am beginning my 6th year selling on Etsy. It's fun, and I opened a second shop to house my organic, handmade artisan soap.
Come visit at UptownGirlSoap. Your skin will thank you!

Gifts For Any Occasion! No charge for gift wrapping or rush service. Needle felted, all wool handmade soft sculptures are adult collectible art. I am a published artist and have been featured by Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Crafts Magazine. My work sells in galleries across the USA. Many of my pieces have made Etsy front page exposure. Spend a few minutes with my handmade Mohair Bears. They love company.

I can create any breed dog, cat or wild animal that you request. It takes approximately 4 to 5 days to create one dog. I can create for you, as much as is possible, a true likeness of your pet. My shop contains some of the breeds and most are available to ship immediately.

The question I am most often asked is how long a wool piece will last. The oldest textile surviving to this day is fine woolen fabric that is approximately 2500 years old. The oldest surviving textile made out of wool is approximately 3,500 years old. So, I feel safe in saying, your piece will stand the test of time, and can be passed down from one generation to the next.

Why wool sculptures don't degrade over time:

Wool is comparatively stronger than steel.
Wool is fire resistant
The flexibility of wool fiber makes it durable, adding to longevity of a sculpture
Wool is composed of the same protein that makes up the outer protective layer of your skin
Wool fabric doesn't collect much static because of its absorbent fibers. Static attracts lint, dirt, and dust. Your sculpture stays clean naturally
Wool is a renewable and sustainable resource that must be sheared from sheep annually
Wool is a 100 % natural fiber
Wool has a permanent natural resistance to microbial growth and odor retention
The pieces in my own collection have been with me many, many years and look as good today as the day they were created.

As you can tell from the sculptures I create, I am an animal lover. My shop has donated pieces to the ABC Basset Hound Rescue Inc. for their auction. A Pet Memorial Sculpture was also donated to the American Cancer Society's Bark For Life summer event. I'm a member and contributor to the ASPCA, as well as Angel's Among Us. All worth while endeavors, so, if the opportunity arises to help, they greatly appreciate it.
