What began as a family dream has turned into my career...

When I was 5 years old, my parents, older brother and myself immigrated to the United States from Cuba. My parents were in search for freedom. Since their arrival in this country, they worked very hard to provide my brother and myself a better life. They began working at a local print shop and in the evenings went to school to learn English. Always big on education, they instilled in us the importance of learning and helping others.

In 1986, my parents decided to test the waters and opened a print shop based from the garage of the house. A couple of years later, they moved the print shop to a commercial site. From a young age, I remember helping out in any way I could. My favorite was the designing and the bindery department.

After finishing college, I began taking a lead role in the family business. This time I had to focus on marketing and sales. Much of my time was spent looking for new clients. However, as much as I love my clients, I still yearn to be back designing and creating print pieces. That's when it occurred to me to launch a social division.... Write On Paper Boutique. This line carries personalized social stationery that helps customers celebrate life's many joyous events.

My family and I are a true example of the American dream. I am extremely blessed for the parents I have had that have shown me through their example to always follow my dreams.
