Love these organic yellow and white gold stacking rings from Wyckosmith. Purchased as a wedding / engagement ring and am delighted with both the purchase and the customer service. Michele was great - responded promptly to my emails and phoned me up to talk about what I was looking for. She described these rings as representative of yin and yang which appealed to me for a wedding. I was unsure of my ring size and she was able to suggest a number of options, including an online ring sizer. Considering these were made specifically for me - it was a very quick turnaround for delivery and Michele kept me informed at all stages. Highly recommended. Would love these in all materials.

I ordered two of these bracelets for my son for his birthday. They are absolutely gorgeous and he hasn't taken them off since they arrived. Michele was a delight to work with.

Playing around with an oxidised finish on this silver paperclip inspired handmade chain. It would look amazing with a crisp white linen dress this summer. The lines are so graphic and minimal.
Henry Moore inspired bangles with my new stacking rings at MADE Bloomsbury today. Come see us until 5 pm this evening.
I am working on some new spoon and serving piece designs, but in the meanwhile, I love this tea caddy spoon.

About

Bold and simple contemporary jewellery inspired by time hewn natural forms. Looking forward to showing at MADE Bloomsbury in April 2016.

I am constantly in search of textures and shapes in the world around me. Whether it is rusting and twisted bits of metal in the road or pebbles along the seaside, these objects become my treasures and inspiration. Organic motifs become bold, graphic shapes in a collage of contrasting textures and forms. Silver wire is drawn into abstract silhouettes within chains, which develop into asymmetrical patterns repeated throughout my work. I translate the surfaces and shapes created by the ravages of time into bold and simple forms in precious metals and gemstones.

My designs begin with abstract drawings, paper constructions, looking at found objects and manipulation of metal pieces. Hand-carved pieces of wax evolve into silver or gold rings that are miniature sculptures worn on the body, sensuous to the touch. I work in metal, reacting to the beauty of the materials, shapes and textures. By embracing this technique, I find little surprises that develop into more complex pieces. Other times, I abandon the piece on my bench, only to find it later and incorporate it into another metal collage. Some of these discoveries become part of my repertoire; occasionally they can’t be replicated. As I finish each piece, I want to ensure it maintain its handmade appearance.

I think about how my pieces can be worn in a number of different ways. Pendants double as rings, bangles become elements in necklaces and clasps are featured focal points. As I work, I ask myself, “How can this be worn a different way?” My clients respond to the sensuous nature of the organic shapes and textures, often choosing to wear them daily.

Manufacturers
  • London Assay Office, The Goldsmiths' Company

City of London, England, United Kingdom

The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, more commonly known as the Goldsmiths' Company, is one of the Twelve Great Livery Companies of the City of London. By law, all objects are tested to guarantee their metal content before hallmarking.

  • Casting Company

    London, England, United Kingdom

When I don't have access to a large workshop to do my castings, I use one of the best casting companies in London to make my rings. They use recycled silver or gold to create the highest quality products. I do all of my own surface finishing.

  • Stonesetter & Polisher

City of London, England, United Kingdom

This professional stone setting and polishing workshop is in the heart of London's Jewellery district (Hatton Garden) and provides the highest quality service to the jewellery trade.

  • Hand Engraver

City of London, England, United Kingdom

I use a engraver in the heart of Hatton Garden, who engraves everything by hand by the traditional means.

  • Gold Plating service

City of London, England, United Kingdom

Established in 1927, this polishing and plating service is used by many of London's top jewellers. They guarantee their work, but so far I have never had a problem.

Frequently asked questions

Wholesale availability

Yes, I do wholesale orders. Please send me a message for details about my policies and minimum order information.

Custom and personalised orders

Some items lend themselves to personalising better than others. Please send me a convo for more details.

If you see something you like, but it is not offered in your size, please send me a message. I am happy to give you a quote in a different size. Certain rings can't be made in very small sizes, however, custom designs can be made at an additional fee.

Care instructions

Silver is quite robust and worn daily it rarely tarnishes. I recommend a polishing cream to shine up your pieces. Please do not wear silver in the swimming pool. The chlorine causes it to turn black.

Gift wrapping and packaging

My work comes packaged in either a blue and black box or a branded Wyckoff Smith Jewellery drawstring bag, which can also be used for storage. If your item is a gift and you would like me to post it directly to someone with a gift card, please let me know at checkout.

Sizing details

Most sizing is quoted in UK measurements. Conversion charts are readily available on Google or Pinterest. If you are unsure about UK sizes, please send me a message and I can help you find a conversion chart.

Trying to find the size of a ring you need for a surprise gift or engagement ring? There are great free iPhone apps you can use where you lay an existing ring onto your phone to find out the ring size. I like "Ring Sizer from Jason Withers" or "ring sizer by QP".
