Al crecer en la costa de Maine, fue extremadamente fácil inspirarse en la belleza natural que te rodea. Siempre me ha encantado crear cosas con mis manos y no fue hasta que me gradué de la escuela de arte que realmente pude perfeccionar mi oficio y crear algo de lo que pueda estar orgulloso. Así nació Andrew Xenos Original works. Ya sea que esté creando trabajos inspirados en la biología marina o navegando, siempre estoy comprometido con la calidad y la artesanía. Growing up on the coast of Maine it was extremely easy to be inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds you. I have always loved to create things with my hands and It was not till I graduated from art school that I was really able to hone my craft and create something that I can be proud of. Thus Andrew Xenos Original works was born. Whether I am creating work inspired by marine biology or sailing I am always committed to quality and craftsmanship. Each piece is hand carved, cast, and finished in the small ocean state of Rhode Island where I currently reside and comes with my 'Till Death Guarantee.'
My work is as much about the finished product as it is about investigating the inner workings of myself and the world around me. I was always interested in the natural world; exoskeletons and shells especially and It was not until I started Xenos Works that I really began investigating why. After many long hours of research I realized that it is the natural defense mechanisms that inspire my creations. The way in which such fragile and small creatures can thrive in such harsh environments is at the root of all my work. It becomes a wearable story of survival, adaptation and soldiering on.
