About

{ unique.fiber.products }

XrayAnn’s is an independent, one-woman business, based out of my small home studio located in the wooded seclusion of Northwest Wisconsin. I am also the photographer, bookkeeper, shipper, promoter, and whatever else my business needs.

My passion for creating came from my grandmother, who taught me most of my crafting skills at an early age. Numerous craft shows, ceramics classes and knitting/crochet projects later, and I was seriously hooked.

I tend to work in fast paced, erratic dye sessions (mostly during my baby’s naptimes). Sometimes I find it hard to concentrate on dye recipes for the repeatable colorways, often asking myself “What would happen if…” This will result in awesome colorways, but ones that I could never create again ever, even if I wanted to.

At times I would like to spend every waking moment spinning, dyeing, knitting or crocheting, but I would never see my family again, so I have been trying to find the age-old balance between work (i.e. yarn hoarding/dyeing/making) and family.

I hope you have as much fun using my creations as I had making them. Enjoy your stay in my Etsy shop and come back often to see what's new!

Thanks for visiting my shop! My name is Heide and I love to create fiber goodness!

All of my fibers are dyed by hand with professional dyes. Colorways are created by my own imagination, and I mix my own unique colors just before dyeing.

Due to the nature of the hand dyeing process, colors may vary slightly from dye bath to dye bath, or even skein to skein. Please buy enough for your project! You can create more uniformity with hand dyed yarns if you alternate skeins every few rows throughout your project.

Please don’t hesitate to convo me if you have any questions!

Shipping
***Packages are sent via United States Postal Service, with delivery confirmation for domestic orders.

***INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING POLICY***
I ship by USPS First Class International. These shipments cannot be traced and I cannot guarantee that any orders will arrive within a specific time frame. Occasionally customs can hold up international orders for a good amount of time, especially around the holidays.

International buyers are responsible for all costs incurred including taxes, tariffs and custom fees. Returns will not be accepted due to customs fees. I have the right to refuse to ship to certain countries.

Please note that I am unable to ship knit or crocheted items to Italy, due to customs restrictions.

***Insurance may be added on orders over $50, or per customer's request. I am happy to replace any items that have been damaged due to shipping. Simply take a photo of the damaged item and box and send it to me within 10 days of receiving.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me immediately with any concerns you have with your order. Items may be returned, in original condition, for a refund minus shipping charges within 10 days of receipt. Buyer is responsible for return shipping.

A note on knots: I hate them as much as you do, but please know that knots are inevitable when it comes to mill-spun yarns. One or two knots are possible in the skeins I sell, so be aware of this before you purchase. I try to weed out the excessively knotty skeins before dyeing, but I don’t catch them all. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to convo me.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note I am unable to do custom listings at this time.

Customer satisfaction is my priority.

All items are made in a smoke free, pet-free environment.

Every effort has been made to depict the yarns in their true colors. However, as we all know, what it looks like on my monitor may not be what it looks like on yours.

Thanks for checking out my shop, you are welcome back anytime!
