Hours after the birth of my third child I was so eager to place on her little newborn head one of those adorable handmade beanies I was seeing everywhere.
I sat up in my hospital bed crocheting as fast as my tired and swollen hands would let me! When they brought her in that evening from the nursery I was thrilled to be able to place this handmade by ME! soft, pink beanie on her head.
There was so much joy I felt in that moment!
Over the last seven years, I have learn and grown so much in my crochet skills and over the last two years I've been working hard to improve my knitting abilities and I can tell it's paying off!
I am so inspired by the online maker community. I glean so much from all of the amazing people I follow online. In 2015 I launched my website, yarnhookneedles.com and since then things have exploded and I never imagined I would be where I am today!
We decided to add an Etsy shop to the YHN brand a few months ago and I must say, it's been an awesome experience so far! I am so grateful to be a part of this amazing community! I look forward with eager anticipation of the things to come in the future.
My heart's desire for YHN is to bring people together. Whether it is through providing a handmade item someone has purchased or taking the time to teach someone the skills of knitting and crochet my goal is unity. I have big dreams for this company and I hope for YarnHookNeedles to become a household name someday...
