Encouraging people to express themselves through snail mail

I've always been better at expressing myself through words. Receiving and giving handwritten cards has always brought me so much joy. While I can't say I don't enjoy how easy and speedy it may be to send emails and e-cards, there's just something so intimate and special about writing a handwritten note, sealing it, stamping it, dropping it into a mailbox, sifting through the mail, ripping open an envelope, unfolding a greeting card, and reading the handwritten words of a friend or loved one.

I came upon a winter holiday season right after college wondering what I could gift my friends and family. Seeing that I already wrote handwritten notes on store-bought greeting cards for holidays anyway, I wondered if I could design my own. Using blank white cardstock as my canvas, I decided to design my own cards and cater them to each person. I ended up loving it so much that I started to look forward to their birthdays and other holidays, because I knew it would give me an opportunity to create more.

I opened my Etsy shop in 2010 because I wanted an outlet and an accessible way to share my greeting cards. Back then, I started with just three products, but I've made it my goal this year to increase my listings and really focus on my love and passion for the art of greeting cards.

Most of my greeting cards are left blank for your personal message. I want to encourage you to really slow down and take the time to write out a note to a special someone. They'll appreciate it.

Thank you so much for stopping by my shop! I hope you enjoyed your stay.

I love greeting cards because they represent emotions in folded paper form. That said, YOUR emotions and concerns are important to me. I LOVE feedback--everything from "You are so awesome, please be my new BFF" to "Your cards make me want to punch a wall".
