Bowl is so very beautiful, the way the color of the burl is captured reminds me very much of a pomegranate, which was one of the major reasons I chose this over similar bowls offered by the store. The choice to leave the spiky natural edge on the bowl is a great one, it adds so much character to the bowl, everyone I've showed it to has loved it. Thank you so much for this work of art!

About

Touching wood with your hands and feeling it with your heart: the ideal we strive to apply to all our creations

The Yandiwa's team is comprised of Annieka, who manages the jewelry as well as design sections, and Francois who cuts, sands and hand carves the wood pieces that we collect and gather across Western Australia. In terms of logistics, we share all admin, shipping and communication tasks related to Yandiwa's and our customer's well being.

Yandiwa is an opportunity for us to gradually move along in our life paths, and cross the Rubicon in this adventure.

Both of us are archaeologists by day, and met at the confluence of interests between people and art, cultures and gestures.

We gather wood, create and design in the same way that we live our lives, which is punctuated by discoveries of cultures, people, relationships and techniques. These not only allow us to express and reflect on our selves, but also to share and elaborate an inherent dialogue between different cultures within Australia and across the globe.

That's why we couldn't hold it in anymore, and decided to jump into the Yandiwa adventure !!!

DELIVERY POLICY

We package our items super carefully, and ship them via Australia Post as quickly as we can!

All items shipped will have a tracking number, which we will send to you.

For our lovely customers outside Australia, we want you to be aware that some countries may impose a customs or import duty prior to you receiving your order. Please be advised that it is your responsibility to check and pay for any custom and import duties.

Delivery times - We will arrange the postage of your item, lickety split!
However, please be advised that once we post the items, we take no responsibility for delays in shipping.
As a guide, delivery of items within Australia is usually between 2 to 14 business days, whilst international delivery may range between 3 to 30 business days.

We understand that shipping can often be expensive, so here at Yandiwa we strive to make our lovely items accessible to everyone, wherever they are.

One of the ways we do this is by offering bulk international and domestic shipping, so you can add as many items as you'd like to a single parcel, and get the most out of the shipping price.

To try and explain further, if we send a 1.1 kg bowl to France, it will cost a flat rate AUD, which is the same price if we send a 1.2 kg, 1.3 kg, 1.4 kg or 1.5 kg bowl. Instead of having 400 grams of shipping wasted, we offer the service of filling up the parcel to the maximum weight range (minus 100 grams for packaging).

For example, Fred in France wants a 1.2 kg bowl, 1.1 kg box and two 10 gram brooches (total weight = 2.301 kg). Fred can have this put all in the same parcel and only pay the >2 kg - 2.5 kg price for shipping .

We add the weight of all our items to our listings so you can work out the box size you'd like to fill, please just leave us 100 grams for packaging your items.

If you're interested in filling up a box with Yandiwa items, please send us a custom order request with the names of the items you'd like to fill the box with, and we'll arrange the change in shipping prices.
