Just Yarn'n Around...

It all started one snowy Chicago winter…

Wanting to avoid the cold, staying inside and trying my hand at crochet seemed like a worthwhile pursuit - after all, I was curious and inspired from a friend who showed me some of her Amigurumi creations the week before. A hot cup of tea, some yarn, and a crochet pattern purchased from Etsy was all I needed… I instantly found myself obsessed. Crochet giraffe… done. Crochet bear… done. Crochet bird… done. Watching YouTube videos, going through Craftsy lessons, and reading every crochet tutorial I could find on the web helped my skills quickly improve from where I started just a few weeks before. Soon enough, I was ready for my next challenge… designing my own cuddly creations. After a few failed attempts, my first Amigurumi pattern was complete, and Chick-A-Dee was born. I haven’t stopped crocheting since…
