Announcement Every purse in the Yellow Zinnia shop is handmade by me from start to finish! I don't like mass producing any purse so each one in my shop is one-of-a-kind. If you don't see exactly what you want, contact me and together we can design your own Yellow Zinnia bag.

This is the 2nd bag I've bought from Pat. She does high quality work and has great customer service! The purse I bought is both beautiful and functional; I took it on vacation and put it through its paces, and it is holding up wonderfully. Thank you!

I loved everything about this purse. The quality is great, and the fabric and design are so unusual. The owner is wonderful to work with, and very responsive to your suggestions or questions. I would definitely recommend purchasing one of Pat's purses, and I'm sure you'll love it.

Welcome to the Yellow Zinnia Purse Company!
As a little girl, I made doll clothes with a needle and thread because my mother was afraid that I couldn’t manage her old Singer sewing machine. I didn’t pick up the sewing ‘bug’ again until college when I watched the home ec majors in my dorm take fabric and, little-by-little, turn it into beautiful, finished garments. After that, I was hooked and found a hobby I wanted to pursue. In those days, the internet was well in its infancy so I read every book and magazine I could find, taught myself to sew and, over the years, honed my skill from there. Today, I love to browse the internet for ‘how to’ videos and ideas.
The Yellow Zinnia shop is downstairs in our family room and encompasses 6 tables of fabrics, supplies, machines, etc., ever inching over the unmarked boundary line into my husband’s ‘man cave’. I love to look at magazines of all kinds…sewing, decorating, quilting…and find that even a picture of a pillow can spur an idea that might eventually turn into a Yellow Zinnia purse. I design and make all of my purse patterns, refining each and changing them as I go along to become a new offering in the YZ shop. I don't make the same purse twice; I want my purses to be one-of-a-kind, just like the ladies who wear them!
Owner, Designer, Photographer
After retiring from my full-time job over 2 years ago, designing and making purses have become more than a part-time job! We also attend numerous craft fairs where my husband is my chauffeur, exhibit set-up expert, and all around great guy! ;)
