About

Food + Design + Philanthropy

The Yummy Year Project started as a blog to share delicious vegan food as well as fundraise to provide meals for The EEC Preschool/Nursery in Motherwell, South Africa.

To expand fundraising efforts and inspired by the art of block printing, I started sketching, carving, and printing which is how this Etsy shop came to be! Wanting to keep in theme with YYP, the designs and products are inspired by food, cooking, baking, and creating in the kitchen.

10% from each sale will be donated via Food4Africa.org to The EEC to ensure the 60 children being cared for there are receiving a nutritious meal. Motherwell is a poverty stricken township in South Africa. Most of the children stay at The EEC while their parents are working / looking for work in nearby cities; others are orphans. This food can help them fight disease, promote concentration and brain development, as well as give them a sense of well being. It may also be the only meal they receive that day.

Every purchase meals these children will have food to eat.

Please contact me for shipping rates outside of the United States.

Thank you so much for your support and stopping by!
