Last updated on April 29, 2022
My name is Zachary Hoyt and I am based in Northern NY state. Some of the wood I use I cut on the sawmill at the farm where I live. I have been building musical instruments and furniture for the past several years. I have been working as a live-in volunteer at a non-profit called St. Francis Farm for 19 years, and making things to sell is something I do in my free time.

Returns and exchange details
I will work with you in the event of your needing a refund for any reason. If you are not happy with an item you can contact me to arrange to return it within two week of receiving it and I will refund your purchase price(but not the shipping cost), provided it comes back in the same condition that it left here. Insurance should cover any damage to instruments, and the other things I make are unlikely to be damaged in shipment. Please inspect the box for external damage when it arrives and if the box is damaged take it to a Post Office and open it in the presence of a postal worker so that a claim can be entered if necessary.
I accept PayPal and Etsy payments. Cash in person is fine too, but I live pretty far from almost everywhere.
I ship by US mail since that is what is available locally. I always insure instruments, but other items I do not insure unless you want me to. I try to get packages in the mail on the business day following the day on which they are purchased but if they are purchased late in the evening after I am asleep I will not have time to pack them till the following evening so they will go out the day after that. I only ship instruments using Express Mail but other items can be sent by cheaper methods.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am always happy to give you a quote on any custom woodworking job. A lot of the things I build were first suggested to me as custom items.
