Announcement   Welcome to Zephyr’s Treasures. Please feel free to look around and explore. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, convo me and we can remedy that.

All jewelry is handmade in my smoke-free and pet-free studio. I use primarily semi-precious stones and metal and glass beads in my nickel-free creations. With the exception of ear wires, all wirework is done by hand. Bookmarks are silver plated and are adorned with glass beads and semi-precious stones.

All designs are original and unduplicated. Once I’ve made a bracelet, necklace or pair of earrings, that’s it. I won’t repeat an item. I may use elements of one item in future pieces (for instance, I’d be happy to re-create a design in other colors or with different stones – but I won’t do an exact copy. That way, when you wear a Zephyr’s Treasures creation, you can be assured there won’t be a dozen other people walking around with the same item. In fact, there won’t even be one other person with the same item. Promise.

Payment
I currently accept payment via PayPal for all purchases. As soon as I receive confirmation of your payment, I will wrap up your treasure for shipment on my next jaunt to the post office.

Connecticut residents, I will need to collect a 6.35% sales tax on all purchases. This tax will be applied to your payment through PayPal. Residents of all other states, you are responsible for paying sales taxes to your state. International buyers, you pay for any/all duties, customs charges, etc.
Shipping
I usually send out parcels via first-class U.S. mail on Saturdays, so I’m not constantly standing in line at the post office, waiting to send out packages. If you need something in a hurry, please let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate you. Please check individual item listings for postage prices, as these may vary. Should a U.S. holiday interfere with my shipping schedule, I will notify you when your package will go out. For international shipments, please do not ask me to falsify postal documentation regarding the contents of any package.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with a purchase and wish to exchange an item or items, please contact me within a week of delivery so that we may arrange this. I simply ask that you return the item(s) in original condition, postage paid. If you wish, you may also return an item for a refund (less shipping charges, which are not refundable). For sanitary reasons, please note that earrings are not returnable.
Additional policies and FAQs
It was late in 2010 when I discovered my fondness for designing jewelry. It started quite unexpectedly – as many of the best things do – from a desire to help others: I decided I would raise money for the Sugartree Ministry food pantry in Wilmington, Ohio. Now, you’ve got to understand something: Up until November 2010, the extent of my jewelry design had been stringing together paper-clip necklaces in third grade. But I wasn’t going to let a little thing like inexperience get in my way. Undaunted, I made simple Christmas-light earrings and bars of handmade peppermint-lightbulb glycerine soap (it’s a long story). I sold enough soap and earrings to send $125 to the food pantry. From there, I decided to branch out a bit further and make fun Christmas presents for the girl cousins in my family. Having settled on earrings, I started out with seven simple pairs of dangly baubles made of fanciful trinkets and assorted doodads from the local craft shop. Then something unusual happened. While my husband and visiting brother guffawed over Mind of Mencia reruns in the family room over the Christmas holidays, I was in the next room stringing glass and metal beads into memory-wire bracelets… and then chokers. As I experimented with different types of pieces over the coming weeks and months, I realized I had a real knack for jewelry design. From that sprang Zephyr’s Treasures, which is all about whimsy, creativity and fun.

I believe you can’t go through life with catcher’s mitts on both hands; you have to be willing – and able – to throw something back. That said, I donate fifty percent of my net profits for Zephyr’s Treasures to charity.

Who is Zephyr? Zephyr von Flurry is an alter ego I developed several years ago; she is, in some sense, my nom de plume. You see, my other passion in life is writing. Some of my writing is serious and some is fluffy. And when I write something for which I don’t necessarily wish to reveal my real name (perhaps something unabashedly goofy), I use the byline Zephyr von Flurry.
