'Zu Hause' means 'At Home'

I've been working in Set & Costume Design for Theatre and Film for the past 7 years, and my love of creating a picture, of building things with my hands, and of putting the right elements together also extends to all other areas of my life.

Zu Hause Berlin (which means "At Home" Berlin), was born from my love to hunt for just the perfect piece for my home and for my projects, and the desire to spread these beautiful unique items to other homes.

Every piece that I select is unique in some way, it has a story, and is hand selected by me. From my home to yours, I know you'll find the perfect item for your decor and your home here at ZuHause and I look forward to sending from my house in Berlin to yours anywhere in the world.

Welcome to the Zu Hause Berlin Shop Policies. Please take a look at my shop policies and email me with any questions you might have.

Accepted payment methods

At this time our only accepted method of payment is Paypal. Because we've moved from Germany to Canada, Etsy does not permit us to relocate our financial institution so we're unable to offer Direct Checkout until that policy has been updated.

No items can be shipped until payment has been received.

All shipping prices are as listed in the individual item listings and costs reflect both the postage and a small fee for packaging materials.

We offer both Domestic & International shipping.

Your items are always packaged carefully in paper and bubble wrap to ensure their safety but there is always a risk that items may break when traveling by post. There is no insurance on my regular postage, if you would like me to insure your package, please contact me for a quote.

Unfortunately I can not be responsible for lost or late packages or goods damaged during shipment.

If an item is returned to me because you did not pick it up from your local post office or the address you have provided is incorrect/incomplete, you have 14 days from the day I notify you to re-pay for the postage required to re-ship the item (via Paypal). There is an additional $10.00 fee on top of the postage costs for my additional trips to the post office to have it re-shipped to you. From the date I contact you regarding the returned package, you will have 14 days to respond and confirm if you would like the package re-sent. After those 14 days, if I have not heard from you, I will return the item to stock. This is to prevent me from ending up holding packages for long periods of time.

I can not be held responsible for any customs or other taxes or costs upon your items arrival. Please check with you local laws to verify what kind of taxes or customs fees could apply should your package arrive from Canada.

If you have any special shipping related requests please contact me before purchase so I can make the required adjustments to your listing.

Pick-up directly in Victoria, BC, Canada is available and shipping costs will be set to zero. Please just get in touch with me before purchasing so I can adjust the listing. :)

Refunds and Exchanges
At this time we do not offer any refunds, returns or order cancellations. Please understand this is for our shop's protection as we incur fees when an order is cancelled.

If you have any problems with your order please get in touch with me as soon as possible and we can talk about what can be done. If there is an error on my part in the order, I'll of course do everything I can to fix it :).
