Announcement   Welcome to the surreal and fantastic imaginings of the Clockwork Sphinx! Presenting fine original art pieces, hand sewn novelties, and other beautiful shiny things all designed and created by fine artist and seamstress extraordinaire, Felix Eddy.

I am primarily a painter and illustrator, but I have always loved sewing and making things by hand, and after working for a professional embroidery shop for almost 10 years I decided to start doing more of my designs in thread, as a way to make my artwork more versatile and useful day-to-day. While I still consider myself primarily a fine artist, I think that making art for embroidery and more practical applications has only made my work stronger! I love being able to put aside the brushes and play with fabric and thread!

To see my fine art gallery, check out my website at www.FelixEddy.com

About

Fine Art and Fine Details by Felix Eddy

I began my Etsy Store just a few years ago mainly to provide all of my customers from festivals and shows an opportunity to purchase my artwork easily online after the festivals and shows are over!
Also, many of the fine art exhibits I attend do not allow an artist to sell handmade goodies like the purses and fabric decorations or jewelry that I like to create, so this is an excellent place for me to feature some of my crafts as well as my paintings. I find it hard to separate my fine art pieces from my "craft" pieces, as they are all coming from the same place- that creative force that compels me to fabricate things! I feel that all my work, whether it's painted or sewn, has a certain feeling to it that makes sense in my mind!

I love to create, my mother is a skilled quilter and designer, so I grew up making things (you want a dinosaur toy? Make it! Here is some thread and a needle, and you can use this box of scrap fabric) and drawing all the time! It is wonderful to be able to connect to other creative people here on Etsy and I love hearing from customers and creators alike!

Thank you for visiting my store! If you haven't found what you were hoping for, message me and see about commissioning an original design! I design logos, paintings, and custom embroidery. send me a private message with your ideas and we can see what we can come up with!

All of my originals are one-of-a-kind, designed and created by yours truly. I am not running a store or factory with employees, this is a one-woman show with occasional backup from my own mother or my husband! I want you to be satisfied with anything you purchase through my store, and I will strive to describe everything in as much faithful detail as possible. With that in mind, if you have questions please ask before buying! Original works of art are not returnable unless there was a serious misunderstanding somewhere Anything over $100 will come with insurance when shipping. Handmade goods should be in good condition and free from stains, tears, pulls or damage, if it isn't right contact me ASAP! I love feedback, and it is all valuable, good or bad, but I beg you to come to me with any problems before leaving negative feedback on my page! This is my livelihood, and you are critiquing my handiwork. I work very hard, and try to make sure everything is perfect, but I am only human, and sometimes mistakes get made... If it is damaged or not up to your expectations, please allow me to try to fix it before you leave a bad review! Thank you for supporting my artwork!
