About

Adventures in Art

Allida has made art as long as she can remember. She loves making things out of all sorts of objects and has worked with everything from fine silk and traditional print-making papers to car parts, old sheets, and paper bags.

This shop represents different bodies of work, since Allida is so adventurous. She puts drawings, fiber art, prints, and photography, and multimedia to its paces, and wants to share that with the world.

Overall she loves to make up-cycled ecologically conscious products, and re-claims materials for many of her pieces from t-shirts to rugs. Even her drawings are mostly done on recycled paper.

The pieces here play with structure, form, humor, and pattern to create an eclectic body of work that nevertheless has common themes and threads.

Payment
Adventurous Art accepts Paypal and Money Orders at this time. If you'd like to use another method of payment, just ask, and I'll see if it's possible.
Shipping
Adventurous Art ships via USPS (now with Delivery Confirmation) within the US.

International Shipping depends on the country for the carrier, but generally will also use USPS.

Send me an email or a message to discuss shipping upgrades before purchasing.
In most cases, it will be possible, but some custom items may take longer.

If you wish to exchange or return an item, you pay the shipping. This may change in the future.
Refunds and Exchanges
In the unlikely event you receive a damaged item, take a photo and send it to me. Nobody likes to get something that isn't perfect so I'll send you a new one. For unique items we can do an equal value exchange for other item(s), or I can create a similar custom item. I'll pay the shipping on your new item. This is the same for lost items.

For other refunds, again, I'd prefer to do some sort of exchange, either for existing item(s) of equal value, or a custom item. In this case however, you'd pay the shipping. Be sure you like what you see before you order.

If an exchange is not satisfactory, we can discuss a refund, but I pride myself on making quality products that people enjoy, so please let me make you something you'll love!
Additional policies and FAQs
Most items you see are one-of-a-kind. That is, the cut or technique can be duplicated, but since I buy mostly recycled materials and end-lots, the exact color pictured is only available once.

*** ANY Clothing or jewelry piece you see can be made custom. ***

I'm currently working on getting some of my drawings turned into limited edition cloth, to add a little shine to some of the designs, but it isn't yet available. Check back soon!

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! I love meeting my customers and other designers.
