I have not yet received this item reportedly shipped on May 21 and passed through customs on May 29. Am concerned about delay as this is a gift. June 7, 2018 Finally my Bisected Human Head has arrived! Being a ‘newby’ to Etsy, I was not aware that the rating that I posted in late May was an indication of my satisfactin with the product. At that time I was expressing my dissatisfaction with the delivery. I could have travelled from Canada to pick the product up more quickly and avoided the additional $30.00 customs and handling charge! Despite this frustration, I am very happy with my ‘Human Head’. It was exactly as I had hoped!
About
Knitting my way through school
I have no background in science, just a layman's love of it. My first aknitomical piece was the knitted, dissected frog that we all remember from high school. That has proven to be consistently my most popular item by far.
Over the years I have added more creatures to my wunderkammer, and I look forward to many more years of creating new knits!
I began knitting in 2001, and haven't stopped since. I am currently a part time student at the University of Vermont, studying German and History. I also work part-time at a stained glass studio, and part time at a local art/anthropological museum.
This leaves very little time for knitting, but I find that I fill up every spare moment with sticks and string.
My business here on Etsy, while not quite supporting me full-time, has allowed me the freedom to not work for someone else full time, so I can attend school (and of course I knit in all of my classes).
