5 out of 5 starsA fun fleece sample to add to my study. Expands my worldwide collection! Didn't know what to expect and haven't worked with it yet.

Thanks for giving it a try! I'm planning a trip back to India in the spring and hope to come back with a few more breed samples for offer.

5 out of 5 starsI ordered these little wool hearts just before Christmas, and they are lovely. Got some last year as well, and will add to my woolly heart garland! They are just as pictured and will stand up to any level of use as they are sewn into the heart shape. Treat yourself to a small joy, and order some. :-)

5 out of 5 starsNice long spin time. Well balanced. I sanded, oiled and waxed the wood, as it's unfinished. It wasn't super rough and could've been used, but I like the smoothness of the finished wood. Definitely a good buy.

4 out of 5 starsAmazing for the price, the wood is a bit rough but it’s not a big deal since you can just sand it

5 out of 5 starsSuper affordable and rustic. Arrived quickly and safely although the ends of both spindles were sticking out of the packaging. Thank you:)

Crafting my way from California to the Himalayas
I started crafting as an undergrad--I was on the staff of a campus event and learned to crochet hats in order to have something to do during the long evening meetings. Eventually I learned to weave, knit, and spin, and next thing I knew I was quitting my job and going to India to hang out with a women's group of textile crafters in a village in the Himalayas. I've since gone back to school (to get a degree in textiles) and now work with herding and artisan communities in Himachal Pradesh, India. This shop features housewares I've made with wool cloth grown, handspun, and handwoven there, as well as accessories knit by the aforementioned women's group, Kullvi Whims. This knitwear collection is the result of our ongoing collaboration, adapting local motifs and traditional items for a contemporary global market. I love learning about places by working with the natural materials that grow there, and hope that my work can connect communities across the globe. You can read more about my work with wool producers in India at my website aana-jaana.com
