About

Family Owned Ceramic Studio

What first started as a hobby quickly escalated into a full time family business. Over twenty years we have developed our own ceramic studio, which is ever evolving and far-reaching. I take great pleasure in painting my own pieces, but also to supply the materials and service so that others may do so as well. Our studio supplies our hand crafted pieces, as well as provides ceramic painting teaching services at local schools and events. Our ceramics are 100% home made - we pour the molds, fire the pieces, and hand paint select items. Every member of the family has had a hand in the business, be it production, painting or even just lifting heavy boxes! Dont have an Etsy account? You can also check us out at www.wendysceramics.com

Born and raised in Canada with a passion for ceramics painting. My favourite place to paint is outdoors at the border of our property, which faces a forest.

I love to help my mom manage her website. I am a scientist but thanks to the family ceramic business I have a great interest in art as well. From time to time I also pick up the paintbrush myself!

We have a large variety of hand-painted and unpainted ceramics, as well as painting supplies. We are pleased to offer custom orders. If an item interests you that is not listed on the site, please feel free to contact us, we have thousands of moulds at our disposal.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
Pay pal, direct checkout and Money orders are accepted. Money orders are payable to AAR and only Money Orders from Canadian buyers will be accepted (otherwise the hold and fees are too high), if you are Canadian and wish to send me a money order please send me a message and we can arrange it in advace. Please be aware that if paying by money order the item will be shipped out after the money order is received.

Please see Shipping Policy for information on shipping prices.
Shipping
All items will be shipped with sufficient packing material to insure safe transport. Once the item has shipped please allow 7-12 business days for delivery within North America. You will receive a notice when the item has been shipped. I ship with my paypal account, which includes tracking info for expedited shipping. Items are shipped via either expedited or small packet air (for items under 1 kg). Small packet air does not come with tracking. Processing time varies and is subject to change - please alert us if you require the item for a certain date/event and we will do our utmost to comply.

During the Holiday season order processing may be a bit longer but I will be happy to keep you up to date as to your orders progress. Please order as early as possible during the holiday season to insure your package arrives on time (recommended by Nov 15th for North America and beginning of October for overseas).

The shipping costs are estimated from our local shipping company, if you are a local customer (Montreal area), and would prefer to pick up the item, just message me beforehand and we can arrange it. International orders may be subject to customs or taxes. I do believe the UK charges a customs tax of about 20 pounds.

We have recently begun offering some items to the EU and Australia. Please be aware that shipping to these areas can take roughly 6-8 weeks. Other faster shipping options are available but they are much more expensive. However, if you would like this option, it can be arranged before hand with a custom listing. Furthermore shipping to these areas have a maximum weight allowance, in some cases, if more than one item is sold, the pieces may need to be sent in two separate packages. Please note that in some rare occasions items shipped overseas may get held up by customs and take additional time to arrive at the final destination.

The buyer is responsible for any customs fees - within North America I have not heard of any customs fees on ceramics, however overseas it is possible. UK can expect customs fees. Additionally the buyer is responsible for insuring the shipping address provided is correct. if an item is returned due to a wrong address (thus failed delivery) and charges are incurred then it is the responsibility of the buyer to pay that charge if they wish the item returned, or if they wish a refund the charge must be subtracted from the amount of the refund.

Paint kits and brushes combined with any order of unpainted bisque of a value of 15 dollars or more will be sent with free shipping. Paint kits and brushes must be combined with other paint kits and brushes to take advantage of the value of the shipping when purchased "with another item". Otherwise the cost of the shipping of the actual ceramic piece will apply.

Urns: Cancellation for our custom engraved urns is possible PRIOR to receiving a picture of the engraved piece, once the piece is engraved we cannot cancel as of that point due to the custom nature of the work. If there is any way we can use your piece for another order then we will work with you to cancel and refund the order.
Refunds and Exchanges
We have over twenty years of experience in shipping our ceramics, thus we take great care in protecting the items during transport. However, if any damage occurs during transport, please take a picture of the damaged piece and shipping box and contact us immediately within two days after receiving the package and either you will be refunded or sent another item (as your preference). Shipping costs are unfortunately non-refundable.

I am passionate about my work and put a lot of effort it making sure any custom order is to your specifications, if for some reason you are not happy with the piece that you have received, the option of the refund will be on a case to case basis - i.e. if an item is personalized or painted in such a way that i cannot resell it - then i cannot supply a refund. However, if the item is non customized or painted in such a way that it can be re-sold, then I can offer a refund if contacted within 10 business days of your receiving the package. However, either way I am happy to keep the lines of communication open to discuss any potential refunds. Shipping costs are however, non refundable.
Additional policies and FAQs
I genuinely apologize for the high shipping prices, Canada Post is expensive, however I do ship through pay pal which saves a few dollars in addition to providing tracking information for anything larger than small packet air.

For urn orders - please note processing times are estimates, due to the large amount of customization for these orders, processing times may vary.
