About

Well, Hello Beaders....

The birth of A Bead in Your Bonnet began with the birth of a baby. A new mom with a new role and a new schedule needed a new way to thrive, care for baby, and still do something for herself now and then.

I've always made things with my hands from the most mundane of materials. As a child, I'd take melted candle wax and shape it in dinosaurs, turtles, dogs, and whatever else. Extra clay from school projects turned into a life-like model of a friend's dog, and so on, until every drawer in the house had a handmade critter tucked away in it.

Flash forward twenty years or so and here is A Bead in Your Bonnet. I love working with my hands, shaping things, seeing them come to life. I also love gathering unusual, bright, chic glass beads from all over. I believe I have a unique, fun style and I hope that shines through.

As for baby.... she's super cute and all too eager to help with the beads.

I grew up and did all the things normal people do. I like cliched things like laughing, music, and walks on the beach. I secretly aspire to be a ballroom dancer, sketch comedienne, farmer, and ranch owner. I've adopted Dolly Parton as my life coach.

Welcome. At A Bead in Your Bonnet, my goal is to craft unique handmade beads for use in your own personal creations, and one of a kind handmade jewelry. I believe I am meticulous in my work, and I strive for a large degree of uniformity and perfection. While the beads are made by hand, I aim to remove all traces of finger prints or marks prior to baking. I personally check each and every bead for defects before shipping.

Glass beads available here are hand picked and offered for their unique beauty and quality.

If you're not happy, I'm not happy. So my mission is quality the first time around.

Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not happy with the quality of any of the items you purchase, keep it and I will send you a replacement of equal value. The replacement will be as close to the original as possible. Remember- each bead at A Bead in Your Bonnet is handmade, so no two are alike. That also means no batch of beads is identical to another. If your beads were the last of the batch, I can duplicate them, but they will not be exact replicas. If you change your mind about an item, I accept returns and will refund your money- less return shipping. If an item arrives damaged, I will replace it with something as close to the original as possible at no cost to you.

I want my customers to be 100% satisfied.
