A love of Crafting, Painting and Gardening converge

I was a stay at home mom (not really: kids activities, volunteering and cub scout leader). I first began gardening, and helped create gardens on the family farm, then started painting on gourds we grew for a local craft store. I took lessons in One Stroke painting and joined the National Society of Decorative painters, travelling all over the country to studios and conventions to learn from all the best painting instructors. Then I began to sell in more shops in New Jersey and Vermont.
I began teaching very actively, and co-ran a studio, and have taught One Stroke and folk art and other decorative painting techniques, including vinegar graining furniture. Additionally I have recently created pottery on my own wheel and have a kiln so be sure to look for the pottery section added to my store!!
Currently most work sells online due to time constraints. I can reach many more people who are looking for what I can do for them. My many wonderful customers are the heart of what I do; their excitement and contentment help stoke my creative fires. They keep me painting with a smile on my face and a joy knowing I can help make their lives a bit more beautiful. I currently only sell online.
To all of my great customers, I say thank you for allowing me to help you, and you will never know how many times your feedback postings have lifted my spirits and makes any challenges well worth it!

Welcome to A Beautiful Gift. SORRY, ABSOLUTELY NO PHONE ORDERS, as my time needs to be spent painting and pottery creation; private orders have become very time consuming with separate record keeping. Please be comforted in knowing that I have been selling on Etsy for a long time and that there is an option on Etsy to send a check, and you can send convos with questions through the Etsy convo system. I reply very quickly. Please read the shipping and Policies tabs on the item, it will answer many questions you may have and your doing so will keep me working on efficiently completing orders.

I stand behind the quality of my workmanship and if for any reason you receive something other than what was expected, please communicate with me and I will take measures to resolve it. A happy customer is my goal, always! PLEASE READ ALL OF MY POLICIES BEFORE CONTACTING ME OR PLACING AN ORDER.

Returns and exchange details
Before leaving your feedback: Please know that I will refund if you are unhappy if you notify me within a week of the shipping date and we arrange return shipping. I strive to please, so there are very few returns, but please, as I said, notify me immediately. Unless there is damage or flaws I did not notice, there is no refund for personalized or custom orders. I am more likely to send a replacement rather than a refund, and work closely with my customers until they are made content! You will pay for shipping cost for returns of wrongly placed order. Also, for a refund of a mistakenly placed order or change fo mind there will be a 15% restocking fee deducted from the amount to refund, to very minimally cover my shipping and packaging costs, and refunds are only send upon the return to me and only for undamaged items. It must be packaged the exact same way it was received with cushioning above AND below and on the sides and corners if I sent it that way, so that the item will not be jostled. For some strange reason boxes from customers almost always arrive damaged, maybe by your postman, although they almost NEVER arrive to my customers damaged, so the cushioning is crucial. Thank you. I am happy to say there are VERY FEW returns ever necessary.
I accept payments through Paypal checkout only. No personal checks. I do not take orders by phone, they must be processed on Etsy even if you are local. This is so you will be sure to receive exactly what you are expecting with no errors and I will have efficient bookkeeping.

YOUR RECEIPTS ARE ALWAYS EMAILED TO THE ADDRESS YOU GIVE TO ETSY, PLEASE WATCH FOR IT AND SAVE IT TO REFER TO AND TO COMMUNICATE FROM LINKS IF YOU NEED TO, It will save me time to research your order by name or item number! An please always leave your phone number on your order and check your email regularly in case I have questions.
FREE SHIPPING is offered on most of my items. If the cost is fairly lower than the built in allowance I often will issue a partial refund.
For LOCAL pick-up sales, purchase the item online and I will quickly issue a credit for the shipping allowance.
SHIPPING NOTICES ARE ALWAYS EMAILED FROM ETSY SHIPPING when the item ships. Usually USPS without signature required.
