The best knitting abacus bracelet in the market. Love it!
Evolution of Ablet
I joined Etsy shortly after its debut as cozycoleman. But I forgot my password and Etsy didn't yet have password recovery in place. About a year later they did and I was able to work on my shop.
I started with hand knit objects created from my own original patterns.
I then began selling the patterns as well, including the infamous Mama Doll Pattern featured in the Regretsy Book and Astounding Knits, several blogs and even on the radio!
Then, after pulling my hair out over the Crossword Baby Blanket pattern design and a need for a new row counter, I came up with the Ablet. And a shop overhaul and name change. I'd hit on something!
Anne Joined my team after the Yarn Harlot's post about us back in 2010. That one post prompted over $4000 in sales (some on Etsy, some off) and some very tired hands!) Oh Stephanie, if only you knew your power!
Ablet has grown as a business, doubling in sales each year since then.
We have been featured in Vogue Knitting, Stitches Magazine, Craft Magazine and many others.
We are looking forward to expanding now that Etsy has opened its policies, and are currently negotiating with a wonderful, small, family owned business in Maine.
Convo me if you want more info on them. They are great and do all kinds of high quality, environmentally friendly, made in the USA piecework!

- Accepts Etsy gift cards

I usually finish custom orders within 2 weeks of purchase.
I ship all my items USPS first class, unless the customer specifically requests otherwise. This comes with automatic tracking. I do not request delivery confirmation, nor do I insure packages under $100.
I try to ship items at least twice a week.
I ship all international packages USPS first class, unless the customer specifically requests otherwise. This comes with a customs number for tracking. Please note that tracking is only possible to the US border. Once the package has left the country the USPS can no longer track the item. Canada, I believe, still follows the tracking code, but as far as I know, they are the only country that does.
I list the item as "row counter" on the customs forms, and list the wholesale price (rather than the retail price). This reduces VAT in most cases and still allows me to be honest. (The customs form asks for the "value" of the item, not the price paid! Maybe I should put priceless on the value, but who knows what your customs folks would do with that! ;)
Refunds and Exchanges
All other items (except hats) can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund minus shipping.
Hats cannot be returned due to laws governing sanitation on hats... who knew? We've got laws for everything!

In general, I don't like to allow sales of derivative works from my patterns. In other words, don't make 100 chess sets (yeah right!) and sell them on ebay! However, I have and do make changes to this policy under special circumstances. Please email me for consent, if you feel you deserve an exception.
