This was a great purchase! It is way more confident than a purse and it's well made without choosing a small fortune. The inside pocket seam has unraveled a little bit but an easy fix. My only complaint is that the buckle around the thigh can come undone quite easily when it presses against something which occasionally happens. Also more color/ pattern choices would be good as well. But other than those two things, definitely worth getting.

The bandanna came in quite quickly and the material is great along with the printed image. I only wish the the two faces were separated a bit more and further apart, just for the aesthetic of wearing it over your face.

Absolute Blackout est.2010

Started as an art collective, Absolute Blackout was a platform for several different artists to showcase their art. From illustrations on t-shirts and bandanas to handmade holsters for women, in it's first few years AB gained a following of admirers from the Maker & Crafting communities.

As the years progressed and the owner, Madeleine Maloy, took over soul creative leadership - the aesthetic of AB took an interesting turn. Focusing on sustainability & minimalism, she created a unisex version of their holster design out of up-cycled leather goods. The process of "up-cycling" in this instance is to take pre-owned jackets, pants and scrap leather and to remake it into something both beautiful and functional. This process allows the company, who's original designs focused on "vegan" craftsmanship, to create leather goods without the footprint of supporting the leather industry. Taking something from a thrift shop or a yard sale and re-purposing it allows a new life for the material.

Now in it's fourth year, Absolute Blackout is both moving forward and honoring it's past with a re-release of it's original designs. Now the newest leather designs featuring both buckle and classic designs can be purchased on Etsy as well as the original Year One t-shirts and holsters.
