Feeding a Passion

I always had a great passion for jewellery - not just to wear, but to look at, feel and admire the technique and history. My greatest love was for ancient Egyptian jewellery - the way they would use precious, semi precious and glass beads in the same piece of 24kt gold jewellery - the fabulous detail yet with a slightly organic feel - I just love it!

I always said "one day I will want to make jewellery" but like so many things, it kept getting put off for other more pressing things. When my mother died I made a resolution to stop putting off things that I wanted to do.
When I arrived home from my mother's funeral my husband had bought me a couple of books on getting started with jewellery making - I was hooked!

What started with spending a few pounds on some findings, quickly grew into a huge hoard ! I soon realised I had to have an outlet for all my makes - hence my opening an on-line shop - Etsy seemed a great place to do this.

Owner, Designer, Maker, There's Just Me, So I Do Everything

After years of working in the Legal Profession, my husband and I escaped the 'rat race' and moved to Scotland. Whilst living there I finally realised my ambition to make jewellery. Little did I know then that it would become a consuming passion! I quickly moved from stringing a few beads to chainmaille and silversmithing. I love all aspects of jewellery making and particularly enjoy making findings from silver, copper and bronze.

Shop policies

Last updated on November 4, 2011
Hi, welcome to my shop. I am delighted that you have taken the time to have a browse through my hand made articles for sale and hope you will find something to interest you.

Everything here is hand made by me, at my home in Cumbria, UK. I rarely make the same piece twice, unless as a commission for say, twins - nobody wants to bump into their best friend wearing the same jewellery do they?

I mainly use sterling silver or gold fill findings and wire. Occasionally I use plated metals but this will be stated in the article description.

I hope you enjoy browsing.

Thanks again for your time - Faith
