About

Stitched with love. Picked with glee.

A Cottage Life was born first as an almost dare. My sister had just gone to an antique show and she was filled with courage. An "if they can do it, we can do it" attitude was born. The next year we did our first big antique show, The Farm Chicks. The following year I decided I wanted another way to keep up with my sweet customers. I was already dabbling in embroidery and sewing home decor items. I thought an etsy shop would be the perfect tie in. Well, the shows have ended but the shop remains!

A Cottage Life is a mix of hand made home decor items such as pillows, buntings, kitchen towels and embroidered wall art. It also is my outlet for treasure hunting of the vintage variety! My house may be full but shelves in my shop always need stocking! You'll find just about everything that has caught my eye but I am partial to vintage embroidery (especially crewel), industrial items, granny afghans and vintage textiles.

I love to do custom orders. Working with you and realizing your vision is a happy day indeed!
